Comeback for Apply Leirvik Emtunga in South-East Asia
Emtunga CHANGE OF NAME

As of the 13th of November 2009 LEIRVIK Emtunga LQ AB has changed its name to Apply Leirvik Emtunga AB.

This change has been initiated by the common owners of our ultimate parentcompany, Sørcogruppen AS and Apply AS. The owners have seen that the combined business portfolios represent a good solid ground for performing large projects both on land and at sea. As a result of this, SørcoGruppen AS has been renamed Apply Group AS and has coordinated its business with Apply AS to establish the Apply Group as a strong actor in the offshore market within maintenance, modifications and EPCI projects. The Apply Group will also continue to strengthen and further develop its other business areas.

Per Bjørn Habbestad (52) – with long experience from HMV/Umoe/ABB/Vetco/Aibel and Sea Production – has been recruited as CEO of the Apply Group AS and as chairman of the board of Apply AS. Habbestad has the owners mandate to coordinate efforts and strategies within the various companies. Pål Selboe Valseth (39) – with background from KPMG, Telenor och Simtronics – has been brought on board as new CFO of Apply Group AS.

In order to promote group membership identity, the names of the subsidiaries have been changed. LEIRVIK Emtunga LQ AB has now been renamed Apply Leirvik Emtunga AB.

  • LQ & Assembly (Apply Leirvik, where Apply Leirvik Emtunga is included)

  • Subsea (Nemo Engineering)

Apply Group has a turnover of 3 billion NOK with 1,750 employees.
The owners of the Apply Group are HitecVision and Køhlergruppen together with a number of minor shareholders of the individual subsidiaries.

Please note that Apply Leirvik Emtunga is the same legal entity as before with the same company registration number: 556623-9652. The company will continue to run its business with the same organization and management. Technically/commercially the change of name will not have any consequenses for our business contacts.
